A chat today about racing in Portugal got me thinking about our trips to see Brian at Ride Portugal.
Bri was a mate of a mate from back home in North Wales and we knew he was great at track building. Â He contacted us out of the blue in 2011 claiming to have discovered downhill gold in Lagos, Portugal. It turns out … he was right and it was amazing. We rode MTB, moto, flew in microlites, surfed … and drank plenty of the local booze.
Then, a few years later, Bri surprised us with the “Wideopen track” – a big, fast, gnarly track that was a homage to the mag. We sent the boys back out to sample it and made another video.
