Wideopen’s Kelan Grant takes the win at Ard Rock

We’re absolutely over the moon to see Team Wideopen’s Kelan Grant take the overall win at the Ard Rock enduro.

Kelan is one of our two Team Wideopen enduro racers, riding alongside Chris Hutchens. He’s from Belfast, Ireland and is working hard this year to step up his racing to the big time.

The season started well with a win at the Tweedlove Vallelujah in Scotland and then again at the Vitus First Tracks back on home soil. A qualie win and 7th overall at the mighty Megavalanche was proof enough that K-Dog has what it takes.

This year was the first time Kelan had raced Ard Rock so he had no idea what to expect. He’d spent the month up to the race living in a van in the Alps and had come home especially to compete.

Clearly #vanlife was the prep he needed and he went into the race strong – taking the fastest time of the day and elite men’s win. Second place Leigh Johnson put up a good fight and was 2 seconds behind, with Sam Flockhart in 3rd.

Thanks to these guys for making Team Wideopen happen:
