Bitmap.

The Bitmap has been hailed as a UK hardcore hardtail in the tradition, but don’t expect a hand-made, steel behemoth with a 61 degree head angle. The Bitmap is British in that it is modern without verging on the ridiculous.

6061-T6 alloy makes up the markedly clean-looking frame, no fancy steels or mad yokes. Particular attention has been spend getting simple right though and getting the geometry ‘right’.

Speaking of ‘right’, you’re looking at a 65 degree head angle with a 140mm fork, a 460mm reach on the large, 420mm chainstays should keep things lively, while the low standover has been designed with a 160/170mm dropper in mind. A Boost 142 rear keeps things stiff out back.

Models-wise, the frame-only comes in raw or black for £449.99. the Bitmap Trail sports Rockshox Revelations and Reverb, SRAM Level brakes and an NX groupset for £1999.99. The Bitmap Pro upgrades to Pikes and Reverb, Guides and GX Eagle for £2399.99. The Bitmap Works gains Pikes and a Reverb, Guides and XO1 Eagle for £2799.99.

Bitmaps are available before the end of May.
