Danny Hart Goes Fastest in Timed Training at Fort William.

Madison Saracen’s Danny Hart has gone fastest in timed training, pipping fellow Brit Gee Atherton to second place on a roasting hot day in Fort William.

The Redcar Rocket made a statement during timed training at the Fort William World Cup by setting the fastest time in timed training. Will we see a Madison Saracen taking his first home World Cup win on Sunday afternoon?

At 4:34.974, Danny’s timed training run is the fastest in recent years, 4 seconds faster than his winning run at the British National Downhill Series a few weeks ago.

Gee Atherton landed second behind Hart, showing he’s not lost any speed on home turf. Can the Vulcan get back to winning ways here in Scotland? Amaury Pierron showed his speed was no fluke at the recent National, landing in third and a flying Brook MacDonald coming in fourth.

Elite Women’s timed training only saw Myriam Nicole approaching race pace, but her run, the fastest of the bunch, was a good 10 seconds slower than Rachel Atherton’s winning run at the National a week or two back.

Who’s your money on to take the top steps on Sunday?
