Rachel Atherton and Luca Shaw have taken the first points at the World Cup in La Massana, Andorra after going fastest in qualifying.
Rachel Atherton would have been looking to set aside gifting the win to Tahnee Seagrave in the last sector in Val di Sole and could not have done it a more dramatic fashion. She’d take the first 50 points of the weekend by a monstrous 12 seconds ahead of Aussie Tracey Hannah.
Luca Shaw once again made his case for his first World Cup win with a 2.5 second lead over Danny Hart. Look beyond Hart to the rest of the top 10 and you have Greenland, Bulldog, Estaque, Pierron, Brosnan, Blenki, Matt Walker and Ed Masters separated by around 6 seconds.
