UCI Update Points Requirement for Trade and MTB Teams.

In a move to allow riders on downhill trade or MTB teams that weren’t able to race last year, the points requirement has been waived.

Should riders on a UCI trade or MTB team have failed to get the required 40 UCI points to race downhill World Cups before the 2021 season starts, then they need not worry as the UCI have updated the rules to waive the points requirement.

The rule change doesn’t apply to privateers or anyone on a non-UCI registered team however, so these riders will still need to hunt out the relevant points or hope for a successful national team jersey application.

It’s certainly not getting any easier for privateers these days…
