Specialized add their lightweight Turbo Super Light system to the Enduro platform to create the Kenevo SL.
The all-new Kenevo SL is not just a lighter Kenevo, more an Enduro that gives you a little help. It also features adjustable geometry from the Stumpjumper EVO as well as the Super Light motor and battery.
The Enduro platform has been combined with Specialized’s SL system to create a hard-hitting offering but without the weight penalty of a traditional full fat ebike. In fact, Specialized claim that they have dropped 12lbs (5.45kg) off the weight of the bike. Rear wheel travel is 170mm via a tweaked 6-bar linkage.
Don’t think of this as a lighter Kenevo as such though, more an Enduro adapted to take the SL system. Build and spec reflect this too.
Only two bikes and a frame will be available. The flagship Kenevo SL SWorks comes in at £12,500.00, with the Kenevo SL Expert at £8,750.00. A Kenevo SWorks frameset will set you back £6,500.00.
The SL system gives 240W of power and 35Nm torque from a 320Wh battery. You get the same Mastermind TCU like on the Levo that gives better battery control, customizable display fields, including the exact percentage of battery level, and an all-new, bar-mounted MicroTune function to adjust power delivery in 10% increments.
Geometry
Moving away from the Mullet on the Levo, the Kenevo comes with 29″ wheels front and rear, and can be adjusted much like the Stumpjumper EVO with both headset cup and linkage flip chips allowing you to fine tune your ride.
On the S3 size in low and slack mode, you get a 460mm reach combined with a 420mm seat tube length. Head angle is at 62.5 degrees with a 76.2 degree seat tube angle. Chainstays are sensible at 447mm with a wheelbase of 1269mm.
