UCI Announce World Champs Venues Out to 2028.

As part of the 2022 UCI Congress, the UCI has awarded Mountain Bike World Championships to two venues for the 2027 and 2028 events.

The UCI have awarded the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships to Haute-Savoie and the 2028 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships to Leogang.

The south-eastern region of France gets the big dog event much in the same way Glasgow will host next year, while Leogang gets the 2028 Worlds.

Intense Primer 29 Leaderboard

It’s worth noting that the next six World Championships will be in Europe. The last time Worlds was outside Europe was in Mont Saint Anne in 2019, and before that, Cairns in 2017.

The World Championship venues from 2023-2028 are:

  • 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships, Glasgow (Fort William for DHI).
  • 2024 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, Vallnord, Andorra.
  • 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, Valais, Switzerland (Champery anyone?)
  • 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, Val di Sole, Italy.
  • 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships, Haute-Savoie, France.
  • 2028 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, Leogang, Austria.
