Funn’s new Python 2 pedal offers a very different style of flat pedal to their current offering of the plastic-bodied Black Magic or their all-metal Funndemental flats. The 6061-T6 body is forged and CNC’d to form, with a steel axle rolling on full cartridge bearings.
All bearings are replaceable and the pedal is fully serviceable too. Eleven removeable pins per side mean you can really fine-tune your fit to the shoe.
The Python 2 should also slot neatly into the gap in platform size and shape compared to its brethren too. They’re a mere 15g heavier than the plastic options, despite having a much larger overall platform, and a decent bit lighter than the Fundamental whilst offering a longer body for more foot contact.
As ever, colour options are numerous, with Black, Grey, Orange, Green, Red and Blue on offer to best match the rest of the kit on your bike.
The Python 2 will be available to purchase by the end of June.
