Running with the old adage ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, Nukeproof’s Megawatt gets a new motor and internal cable routing.
The ebike equivalent to their ever-popular Mega platform, the Megawatt is a couple of tweaks shy of just a spec update.
Nukeproof have launched their updated their Megawatt ebike with the slightest of tweaks. The frame now sports internal routing for all cables heading rearward, all easily accessible via the battery casing.
Beyond that, the all models now offer the better power application and battery management of the Shimano EP801 motor. Based around the award winning Megawatt alloy frame, the same 165mm rear wheel travel is still available, paired with a 170mm fork.
Four new specs are on offer, with the usual spread from the Comp to the RS, the latter being much a team spec number, making the most of the new SRAM AXS Eagle drive trains. The Comp model comes with a 540Wh battery, with the three other models coming with a larger 630Wh unit. All four bikes run Mullet wheels. Pricing starts at £5,399.99 for the Comp, rising to £7,999.99 for the RS.
