Three years after its debut, Stif have released an updated version of their big-wheeled, steel hardtail machine, the Squatch V1.1.
The Stif Squatch V1.1 is, as the name suggests, only a minor change to the original, and that is, adding UDH hanger compatibility. Colours change and but the same two models remain.
Still running 130mm travel and rolling on 29″ wheels, the Stif Squatch V1.1 is made of 4130 steel and sports modern numbers throughout.
Whilst in laymans’ terms, the only change to the frame being the UDH hanger compatibility, there’s plenty more that went on behind the scenes to ensure that the Squatch retained that same feel as the previous offering. Just welding on different dropouts won’t cut it.
Frame only starts at £749.00, with the Squatch V1.1 AM coming in at £2,499.00 with the Pro build at £3,199.00. All bikes and frames are available as of now.
Reach on the medium, the smallest size available is 460mm, combined with a suitably short 420mm seat tube. Head angle with the 130mm fork is 64 degrees, with the seat tube rocking a 78 degree angle.
