With Fox launching three new dampers this week, there’s no surprise really that a new Marzocchi fork has landed. The Super Z slots into the Rampage-ready single crown forks with up to 190mm travel in a 38mm chassis along with Fox’s new Grip X damper. There is travel cross over with the Bomber Z1 should you want a super stiff fork with less travel too.
Lighter and simpler than GripX2 but offering the same level of control traction and consistency. You get a smaller main valve piston and shaft with just low speed rebound on the GripX. The high speed compression adjustment’s firmness ramps up towards the firm end, with the last click closing both high and low speed compression, with a blow off valve, naturally. A raised indicator to get you back to where you were before.
Whilst these will likely do you a pretty good stint anywhere, Marzocchi are touting these as a fork that’ll take the hits on the big jumps or keep hammering out the bike park laps. Fork leg bleeder valves help keep the forks running sweet too.
Max tyre size is a 2.6″ whether you go for 27.5″ or 29″ flavours. Minimum rotor size indicates their intended us with the smallest rotor you can use being a 200mm. Max rotor size is 230mm. At £1,119.00 they’re not silly money compared to the competition either.
