Still the longest travel Yeti you can go out and buy, the Mullet wheeled, dual crown compatible SB615 gets some tweaks to keep it fresh.
Rampage-proven, Yeti’s SB165 is quite the monster for a 165mm travel bike and the big rig gets some timely updates to make it more versatile of a machine.
Reed Boggs proved that a 165mm travel bike can cut it at Red Bull Rampage aboard his Yeti SB165 and for 2024, the longest travel Yeti available to the public gets a refresh. The main change being thanks to the patent two-piece shock wishbone, that amongst many things, allows shorter seat tubes across the sizes. How much this is by depends on size but it’s a decent wedge whilst also increasing shock compatibility and water bottle size.
Suspension-wise, the leverage curve has been fettled to reduce progressivity by 5.5%. Progression now sits at 22% instead of 27.5% but is still the most progressive Yeti full suspension bike available. The mid-stroke part of the curve has been adjusted for more control too. Elsewhere, seat tubes get slacker by all of 0.1 of a degree and reach grows by 0.1mm. The size-specific chainstays go, with the smallest size of the outgoing model now the standard across all sizes at 433mm.
Four complete bikes will be available, two of each based around the Turq and C-Series frames. Only the C2 and T3 will be available in the UK though. The C2 and T3 XO Transmission alongside the C2 and C3 GX Transmission. Prices start at £5,999.00 for the C2, rising to £9,499.00 for the T3 XO Transmission.
