Hot on the heels of their updated Ariel range, Saracen have wasted no time in releasing a four-Amplitude bike dirt jump range.
Whether you’re after a tricked-out dirt jump bike or just dipping your toe in, the new Saracen Amplitude range will have something for you.
Saracen’s Amplitude dirt jump range grows in a similar manner to the Ariel 30 in that it gains a top spec model in the range under the Elite moniker. The range is now four bikes strong covering everything from committed dirt jumpers to those looking to have a dabble.
The top two spec bikes are based around the hydroformed and custom butted 6061 Series 3 Amplitude AL X frame, with the lower two running a Cro-Mo frameset. The Amplitude CR2 kicks things off at ยฃ699.99 RRP with the ranger topper being the new top spec Amplitude AL Elite at ยฃ1499.99 RRP.
The Cro-Mo are available in two sizes, Medium or Large, the only difference being the top tube length/reach, both coming with suitably short seat tubes. The AL bikes are only available in one size. The entire range runs on 26″ wheels, come stock as singlespeeds and are designed around a 100mm fork. Dropouts allow 15mm of chainstay/wheelbase adjustment.
Geometry
Reach on the Large Cro-Mo Amplitudes is 423mm with a seat tube of 300mm. Head angle is 68.5 degrees with a seat tube of 73 degrees. Chainstays are adjustable between 385 and 400mm with the wheelbase similarly adjustable between 1053 and 1068mm.
For the AL bikes, reach is 400mm with a seat tube of 310mm. Head angle is 68 degrees with a seat tube of 72 degrees. Chainstays are adjustable between 390 and 405mm with the wheelbase similarly adjustable between 1040 and 1055mm.
