It would seem that belt drive is all the rage for 2025 UCI World Cup downhill as Continental Atherton announce their A.200G, a Gates belt-driven version of their downhill bike.
The Atherton A.200G is definitely a Gates belt drive-driven machine, doing away with mechs and chains, so there must be a gearbox in there somewhere.
Continental Atherton will race these belt-driven bikes at this years downhill races. We know the bikes are fast, but will this be the next leap in performance?
