The latest in their VLT ebike line up, the Norco Sight VLT comes with a claimed 20% reduction in weight. is a 150mm travel, high pivot machine with a full power Bosch CX motor.
The new Norco Sight VLT is almost unrecognisable compared to the outgoing version, with a new frame and suspension layout as well as boasting a 20% weight reduction despite a 50Wh larger battery.
The biggest different to the Norco Sight VLT is the change to a vertical shock compared to the outgoing model. This changes the front triangle layout. Travel remains the same at 150mm at the rear, paired with a 160mm fork. The latest Bosch CX motor is far quieter and lighter than on the previous Sight VLT, while the larger capacity battery (800Wh vs 750Wh) comes in a lighter package too.
The claimed weight saving is from the new Bosch drive and battery units exclusively as the new frame layout doesn’t lend anything to the number on the scales. Careful spec selection also helps get the headline weight down too. Weight of the top spec UK available model (C2 in S3) is 22.2 kg / 49 lbs.
All models sport a carbon fibre frame, Mullet wheels and come with the same 85Nm Bosch motor and BT800Wh battery. All sizes come with size-specific chainstays. Only the Sight VLT C2 and C3 will be available in the UK at £7,799.00 and £6,299.00 respectively.
Geometry
The Norco Sight VLT is available in sizes S2, S3, S4 and S5.
Reach on the 3 is 472.5mm with a seat tube of 415mm. Head angle is 64 degrees with an effective seat tube angle of 77.5 degrees. Chainstays are 436mm on the 3 with a wheelbase of 1255mm.
