Yeti Launches Their New Sixfinity Enduro Machine, the LT.

The long-lived Switch Infinity goes the way of the dodo after over a decade of service, with the Yeti LT now sporting the ebike inspired Sixfinity link.

With adjustable wheel size, kinematic and geometry, the new Sixfinity-equipped Yeti LT is a fettler’s dream of a 160mm enduro platform.

Two iconic Yeti names are replaced by the new LT enduro bike, those being the SB160 and Switch Infinity. Despite sharing the SB160s travel at both ends, these bikes share little beyond that. After featuring on all their other long travel offerings, including their World Cup downhill machine, the LT adopts the Sixfinity link.

TURQ carbon construction with Vectran reinforcement is used in all the non-alloy frame components. You get frame storage and a top tube accessory mount.

Rocker, timing and switch links aim to control the LT’s wheel path and shock, with the rocker moving the timing, which in turn, moves the switch link. Like the six-bar Saracen Myst and the Specialized Enduro, six links allow the various kinematic elements like anti-rise and anti-squat to be developed with a degree of separation. The LT also features size-specific kinematics.

Like on their other bikes, the flip chip on the LT allows the rider to adjust link progression for 15, 20 and 25%. 15% is more linear and 25% ramping up faster for better bottom out resistance. In addition to this, there is a flip chip to allow the running of either full 29″ or Mullet wheels. There is also a Slack chip for the Mullet setup that drops the BB and slackens the head angle.

Two models will be available, with the LT 90 starting at £7,899.00, rising to to £9,799.00 for the LT X0. A frame-only option is also available for £4,699.

Geometry

The Yeti LT is available in SM, MD, LG and XL.

MD reach in the 29″ setup is 465mm with a seat tube length of 420mm. Head angle is 64 degrees with an effective seat tube angle of 77.5 degrees. Rear centre is 439mm with a wheelbase on the MD of 1250mm.
