Wyn Masters was spotted riding a new GT in New Zealand earlier in the year, and GT Factory Racing will be rocking the prototype here in Scotland.
In a departure from the infamous i-Drive system, GT’s prototype downhill bike looks a little more conventional than their previous offerings.
We weren’t allowed to shoot the bike inside the pits, or take the bike outside and everyone was staying tight-lipped about the ins and outs of the new bike.
We can deduce a few things. The prototype is alloy, with a Horst Link-style linkage and a rocker-actuated shock. The pivot point does seem reasonably high too.
Wheels are 27.5″, routing is internal and everything seems fairly conventional.
Stay tuned for more from the Fort William World Cup all weekend here.
