France Has Two New Downhill Champions and Pierron Injured Again.

Les Menuires hosted the 2020 French National Downhill Championships this weekend and crowned two new champions.

The French National Championships is always going to be a talent-filled affair and the 2020 event in Les Menuires in Les Trois Vallées was no different.

The top 3 Elite Men would be separated by a mere 0.86 seconds, while the Elite Women’s event would see a slightly larger gap out front.  In any case, your 2020 Elite French National Champions are Benoit Coulanges and Myriam Nicole. Both would back up French Cup wins with yet another top step performance to claim the Tricolore for the year.

Following the race, riders like Loic Bruni would wish a speedy recovery to Amaury Pierron who took another digger and was flown off the hill to receive treatment.
