SunGod have launched their lightest pair of cycling-specific glasses in the form of the Airas. The fully frame-less design aims to provide maximum vision, although conversion kits to add frames are also available. Their cylindrical cut lens is designed to sit closer to your face to limit their impact on your vision while riding.
SunGod claim their nylon-based less more optical clarity than most of the polycarbonate offerings on the market, and we’ll be putting that to the test when our set arrives to be run through the mill. If they’re anything like the Vulcans FF Pete tested, then the customisation options will be beyond belief, with a very quick turnaround on custom options, with the fit being fine-tunable.
Possibly the only complaint regards the Vulcans FF glasses was the amount of glasses above the arms coming together with some lower browed modern enduro helmets. We’ll be seeing if these steer clear of the crash hats in an upcoming test.
