EWS Travel join forces with H+I Adventures on home turf to offer an 8-day trip that takes in the very best of riding variety in Scotland.
Eight days and seven nights take in the best the Tweed Valley, Dunkeld, the Cairngorms and Torridon have to offer in the latest EWS Travel addition.
The Enduro World Series (EWS) is excited to announce their latest travel experience, exploring the very best trails that Scotland has to offer.
H+I Adventures and the EWS have created an adventure like no other, navigating the length and breadth of Scotland and its myriad of world class trail networks that are steeped in mountain biking history.
The two Scottish companies have put together their collective 30 years of experience to create a trip that encompasses the very best of everything their homeland has to offer.
The trip kicks off in the Tweed Valley – an area steeped in mountain biking history and culture
Starting in the famous Tweed Valley, host to the grand finale of this year’s EWS and EWS-E race series, riders will follow in the tracks of EWS athletes on the most iconic singletrack in southern Scotland. From there, the journey north begins. Firstly, stopping in Dunkeld for some outstanding and wildly technical man-made trails, before moving to the Highlands for some real wilderness mountain riding, which is both breathtaking and challenging in equal measure.
Further highlights of this new EWS Travel Scotland adventure include: mountain biking in the UK’s only Arctic environment, high in the mountain plateaux of the Cairngorms National Park; having your suspension serviced professionally by the team at Tweed Valley Bikes in Innerleithen; experiencing the rugged majesty of Torridon and the Western Highlands; and relaxing with a post-ride dram or local beer each evening.
Scotland makes you work for it – but the rewards are rich!
The trip is pitched at advanced riders, so guests will need to bring their A-game and be prepared to work hard both up and down each day.
The rewards are well worth it, however, and expert local guides from southern Scotland and the Highlands will share their knowledge of the landscapes, history and culture of their home turf, as well as the best lines, to make this the adventure of a lifetime. In addition to the expertise of local guides, the team at H+I Adventures have done all the hard work, in sourcing the most comfortable accommodations, best local food and drink, and all the logistical complexities. All that’s left for guests to do is to turn up and enjoy the riding.
Scotland is the latest addition to the EWS Travel line-up, joining mountain biking meccas Madeira, Portugal and Finale, Italy.
From the steep, tight singletrack of the Tweed Valley to the Arctic terrain of the Cairngorm Mountain range, each area of Scotland has its own distinct trail style
EWS Travel is a joint venture between the Enduro World Series and H+I Adventures, the world’s leading mountain bike tour provider. Both companies share a passion for not only discovering the best riding on earth, but also for connecting with the most exciting mtb communities. EWS Travel offers an immersive experience that puts its guests at the heart of the local scene; meeting the trail builders, bike shops and riding stalwarts that help to shape each of these unique destinations.
Chris Ball, Managing Director of the Enduro World Series, said: “EWS Travel is more than just a mountain bike trip.
“The EWS scours the globe looking for the best riding locations, and riders reap the benefits, experiencing these venues with the incredible communities who created them, all under the expert guiding, organisation and care of H+I Adventures.
“More than this, EWS Travel aims to provide a legacy for these MTB communities around the world who invest so much time, money and energy into creating an outstanding race event once a year. With EWS Travel, 70% of the tour price goes directly to the host destination, ensuring that these communities will see the benefit of EWS far beyond the race season.”
Euan Wilson, CEO of H+I Adventures, added: “We see the benefits of EWS Travel to MTB travellers and local MTB communities as circular: the investment made by communities to develop a world-class mountain biking event creates the ability to attract international MTB travellers whose tourism dollar, in turn, puts back into the community allowing them to continue to invest in their trails and supporting infrastructure.
“The latest addition to the EWS Travel line up showcases all that is great about Scottish mountain biking, offering riders the chance to challenge themselves on an incredibly diverse array of trails that are unlike anywhere else in the world.”
