Inaugural Womens’ Gravity Jam Heads to Revolution Bike Park May 2nd.

Revolution Bike Park in Llangynog will play host to the inaugural Project Evolve Womens’ Gravity Jam on Monday 2nd May 2022.

Brainchild of Sian Dillon, Becci Skelton and Vero Sandler, Project Evolve’s Womens’ Gravity Jam aims to provide a solid environment to give womens’ riding a hefty upward shove, in a similar vein to Red Bull’s Formation and Mons Royale’s Future Ground.

And a bit of back story…

With the recent rise of events like Redbull’s ‘Formation’ and Mons Royale’s ‘Future Ground Progression Camp’ and the talent showcased there, we can’t help but feel that here in the UK, we seem to be a little behind in supporting female riders in this scene. You may see one or two women at a bike park, but this is a vast contrast to the swarms of insanely talented girls over in say Queenstown or Whistler.

So, over a pint (we are in the Uk after all), we (Becci Skelton, Vero Sandler and Sian Dillion), three riders from different disciplines, started to formulate a master plan to create an event with a super chilled out, non competitive, non judgemental and safe environment where we will encourage riders of all abilities and ages to come have a go at riding some downhill and freeride.

There has never been an event like it in the UK, and we’re so keen to help promote and hopefully build the UK Womens’ MTB scene.
