Adam Lock will undertake the 253 mile ride along the Cornish coast aboard his enduro bike this June to raise funds for Oscar’s Defibrillator Fund.
Oscar’s Defibrillator Fund will get its next fundraising drive via a herculean effort from Adam Lock. Adam plans to ride the 253 mile Kernow Way aboard his 170mm enduro bike over two days in late June.

Over the weekend of the 24th and 25th June, I will be riding 253 miles around the coast of Cornwall to raise money for Oscar’s Defibrillator Fund. This will be on the road, but I am riding it on my enduro bike (all 170mm of it). I will be riding 130miles the first day and then the remaining miles the next.
Starting from my hometown of Looe, I will ride clockwise along the south coast towards Land’s end, then along the north coast to Bude, before cutting back across Cornwall to Looe.
The bike will be staying as it is; I will be changed the tyres to ones that roll faster, but they will still be mountain bike tyres. I am not adjusting the compression settings on the suspension or locking it out. I will be pumping the tyres up to 60psi too.
I am hoping to average 11-13mph for the ride. I am happy for people to ride with me during the ride, but they will need to ride the same speed as me, as its quite a tight time frame to fit everything in. I will be starting at 8am on the first day, aiming to get to the overnight stop by 8pm. The second day, I will once again start at 8am, and ideally will be done by 8pm, but I not fussed if it takes longer on the second day.
The reason I am doing this is because I was there the night Oscar had his heart attack (see below) and I saw first hand how important defibrillators can be, so I am hoping that with this ride, I can raise some awareness.
Ride stats. 253.8 miles; 25,433ft elevation.
