The shortest travel bike in Cotic’s Droplink range, the new FlareMAX is made here in the UK and features some geometry updates.
The fifth generation of the FlareMAX will be available in UK-made form only, crafted by the team at Five Land Bikes in Scotland, and features frame detail, tubing and geometry changes.

Arguably the biggest news is that the 125mm 29er trail weapon that is the Cotic FlareMAX will now be available in UK-made frame only guise. Five Land Bikes have been put to work rolling out the C-sizing which shortens seat tubes on the C2-4 frames, as well as steeper seat tubes for the bigger sizes.
Reach now drops to less than 20mm per size, meaning most riders won’t be between sizes. A lower BB aims to make the bike corner better, and the downtube and BB brace are also new.
The FlareMAX is available in a frame-only with a Rockshox Deluxe Select shock for £2,099.00 RRP, with complete bikes in either one of five Trail or Downcountry builds. Downcountry starts at £3,599.00 for the Silver SLX build, rising to £5,899.00 for the Platinum GX AXS build. Trail starts at £3,799.00 for the Silver SLX build with the Platinum GX AXS build coming in at £6,199.00. There’s also a free AXS upgrade on the Gold GX Eagle spec. Custom builds are also available on request.
The Gen5 Cotic FlareMAX is available in C1-6 sizes.
Reach on the C3 is 477mm with a seat tube of 444mm. Head angle is 65.6 degrees with a seat tube of 75.5 degrees. Wheelbase is 1244mm with a chainstay at 448mm across the sizes.
