Ah, the humble Trail Wide from Hunt. The wheel to beat for bang for your buck, in fact, they were just the wheels to beat for general trail riding. These Sustain Phase One Trail Wides though come with a little bit extra.
The 30mm internal width rims are now made with 75% recycled aluminium, and Hunt have done away with the chemicals and energy required to coat spokes and nipples black, something they call Zero Coat. These Zero Coat spokes come in 28 hole out front and 32 out back.
At the heart of the wheels is Hunt’s Europa hub with a 48t ratchet offering 7.5 degree engagement. The body is heat treated and CNC’d 6000 series alloy, with a 7075-T6 alloy freehub all rolling on precision sealed cartridge bearings. The hubs are machine and built in France.
As it stands these are only available in Boost and 29″, whereas the stock Trail Wide V2s are available in Boost and non-Boost as well as 27.5″.
