Based around their 2025 Transfer post, the Fox Transfer Neo makes its claim for the king of all dropper posts. With a ticket price of £1,129.00, it certainly has ‘king’s ransom’ written all over it. Why the tall asking price though?
The Transfer Neo is just shy of three times the price of the standard Factory Transfer post, but unlike the standard post offers the fastest claimed actuation of any dropper on the market. A mere 26 milliseconds means its 20 times faster than the Reverb AXS if the claim is true, with a 30-40 battery life, with a 75-90 minute charge time and an 8,000 actuation service interval.
With the battery attached to the static post, the overall stack height can be far lower than the Reverb AXS with it’s head-mounted battery. Total stack height is a sensible 47mm, only 11 more than the regular Transfer. Replacement batteries come in at a wince-inducing £99.00.
A new lever was designed to go with the new post, that has much lower lever throw, a battery and pairing indicator, manual actuation should you have a dead battery and a system that wakes up when the bike moves.
The Transfer Neo comes in 100, 125, 150, 175 and 200mm lengths (100mm drop available in 30.9mm and 31.6mm only) with the Factory post available aftermarket with Performance Elite posts coming as OE options. At 528g for the 30.9 x 100mm post, it’s not the lightest going either.
